Call now if
Call (555) 010-0149 if water is running in the street or a yard, a hydrant is damaged, or you have no water. A crew is on call every hour of every day.
- Water bubbling up through pavement or a lawn
- A hydrant knocked over or spraying
- No water, or pressure so low a tap barely runs
Report a leak
For slower leaks: a wet spot that does not dry, a leaking meter box or a dripping hydrant. The crew on duty reads every report within the hour.
Whose leak is it?
In the street
Mains and the pipe up to your meter are the District's. We fix them at no cost to you.
In the meter box
The meter and its fittings are the District's too. Call or use the form.
From the meter to your house
The pipe on your side of the meter and everything inside are the owner's to fix. A licensed plumber can help.
Questions about leaks
How do I find a leak inside my home?
Turn off every tap and appliance, then look at the meter. If the small triangle or star on the dial is turning, water is leaking somewhere in the house.
Will I get a credit for a leak I fixed?
Once every 12 months we credit half the extra water from a leak you found and fixed. Bring or send the plumber's receipt within 60 days.
Where is my shutoff valve?
Most homes have one where the pipe comes through the basement or crawl space wall. Find it before you need it.
