A 12-inch main broke under the 300 block of Maple Street at 6:40 a.m. Monday. While crews isolated it, pressure in Kell Heights (Zone 4) fell below 20 pounds per square inch.
As a precaution, the District has issued a boil water advisory for all of Zone 4. Boil tap water for one minute before drinking it, cooking with it or making ice.
